Tim Amyx has been editing film and video since 1982.  He apprenticed and trained under 5 Academy award winning film editors and has been editing projects that have ranged from film trailers, movies, network specials, television series, company promos, training films, News packages, sports highlights, Weddings, Bar Mitzvahs, and  Web broadcasts. 

Tim is a graduate of the USC film program and has also studied at Cuesta College.  He has divided his career between Los Angeles and the San Francisco Bay area.  While working in the world of feature films he has worked on the productions of The Rock, Starship Troopers, Mars Attacks, Stepmom, Sin City, The Getaway, and Shrek. 

In the world of television he as edited television specials for NBC, including the Laugh-In reunion special in 1992 for which he received an Emmy Nomination for Prime time editing.  Tim was also the sole editor for all 26 episodes of the Nickelodeon series, “Salute Your Shorts”. 

While managing his own company in the Bay Area, Tim has filmed and edited hundreds of company promos, documentaries, sports videos, training videos, weddings, personal histories, graduations and Bar Mitzvahs.  See testimonial page to read the reviews of his work from our satisfied clients.

Tim currently resides in Mill Valley, with his two daughters and wife, Florencia.  Both kids and wife are often seen close to Tim during productions as he trains his next generation of editorial assistants and assistant camera operators.
